Why I built ClaimMark-P
I have spent more than thirty years on every side of patents: drafting and prosecuting them, licensing them, and defending portfolios when they were challenged. The lesson has always been the same. A patent is only worth what survives the examiner, and then what survives a court.
Most AI drafting tools are built to produce a draft quickly. ClaimMark-P is built to produce a draft that holds up. Before a draft reaches you, it has been attacked the way an examiner would attack it, checked against §101, §102, §103 and §112, and strengthened where it was weak. Every claim is traced back to its source, so you can see why the draft says what it says instead of having to trust it.
I am a co-founder of ClaimMark, so I am not a neutral judge of it. That is why we are publishing our benchmark method, code and samples, and inviting other patent attorneys to check our work. I would rather be proven right in public than asserted right in marketing.
The judgment stays with you. ClaimMark-P does the reading, the checking and the first drafting, so you can spend your time on the decisions only an attorney should make.
